What is Feng Shui – Concise Explanation

What is Feng Shui? Many people may be curious about it. Feng Shui (popularly refer to as Fung shway) is an ancient Chinese practice consisting of art and science. It has existed for thousands of years. The practice is based on the laws of heaven and earth to help people balance their energy in space. This is to help them get wealth and health.

Feng Shui means wind water (“Feng” means wind and “Shui” means water). To represent Health and harvest, the local Chinese people place the wind that is soft and the water that is clear in one setting. Feng Shui is proud to think that the earth contains Chi. Chi work has to do with energy. Chi consists of invisible lines of energy.

In ancient times, local Chinese said that the energy of the earth would be good or bad for others. Feng Shui comes from Taoist ideas to deal with nature. Taoism deals with religious and philosophical beliefs.

When you do a Feng Shui analysis, the compass and Ba-Gua  are used. The Ba-Gua is a grid that is created in the form of an octagon. The Ba-gua is one of the main tools used in Feng-Shui to analyze the energy of any given space, be it home, office or garden. Basically, Ba-gua is the feng shui energy map of your space that shows you which areas of your home or office are connected to specific areas of your life.

The compass is also known as “lo-pan” and it is used to unlock the mysteries of the universe.. The magnetic needle is surrounded by strategically located concentric rings.
